Tigers @ Sox 7/26/11 Gamethread

Featured Replies

Peavy has good stuff tonight but the Tigers are blooping him to death. Not many hard hit balls off of him up to this point. Lets hope we get out of this only down 2 because Verlander doesn't have his good stuff tonight.

This one is on Ozzie. The whole board knew he should have someone READY in the 6th. Jake had nothing left in the 5th, but got through the inning, and they have 2,3,4 coming up.

And now we got Ohman loosening? LOL, it's like we don't see how important this game can be.

What a joke of a manager we have, 80% of this board would have had someone else starting in the 6th.

Haha, nice hustle Juan.

JP could've had that

Pitchers can always throw 100 pitches when they start the game. It's magic. They never tire before then.

Coop deserves some credit here too.

Hey guys, don't worry...we benched our best starting pitcher so Peavy can continue to pitch with his ERA shooting up to 5.5

Ohman would have been a good option against VMart.

I hate Ozzie so much. Way to know your personnel!

I don't know. I mean, I always feel like Jake's going to get an out when he karate chops his leg to generate more velocity. It's real natural. In the future, you'll see, all pitchers will do this.

Everyone in the world knows Peavy is not able to go really deep. My guess is that hes still messed up from the injury and that by next year he should be able to go much deeper. But for right now you let him go 5, tell him great job, and let your pen get 12 outs.

The sad thing is, even with the worst manager Ive ever witnessed, the Sox still have a chance to win the division.

"I'm da mothaf***in' manayer. I make da the lineups, you don' like 'em, you no like Ozzie. I know my payers better than any mothaf***a's. Stats not whole gayme."

Holy f*** Ozzie, what are you doing?

If Humber were pitching, the result would be the exact same thing. He'd hit 85 pitches, tire, and give up 4 ins before Ozzie had the pen up.

Leaving Peavy in pretty much shows the white flag

Combination of Ozzie's imbecility and KW's order not to use Thornton because he's about to be traded with Dayan Viciedo for Sandy Alomar Jr.

Betemit and Martinez are the only two that have hit him hard.

2 outs as usual.

Hit a slam here...anything to get Ozzie and Peavy booed off the field. This is disgusting managing.

Trying to get Peavy through the 6th so he has a shot at a win.

Peavy did fine, he got through 5 innings with 1 run. Youd love every pitcher to go 7/8 but that isnt Peavy right now.

Ozzie just needed to give the damn bullpen the ball.

Peavy's arm might fall off here.

Hes not "messed up", he just doesn't have the arm strength right now for 100 good pitches. He tires at 75. That's what happens when you pitch 1/2 of a season in 2 years.

You get a win after 5 ip unless I really dont know stats anymore.

About one inning too late Ozzie. LOL, what a f***ing joke this organization is. YOU COULD SEE JAKE LOST IT in the 5th. Everyone saw it. f*** you Ozzie, really.

Do you think Ozzie's noticed that Peavy's velocity is down 4 mph this inning?

It's obvious Peavy is pretty far away from being 100%. Really, from here on out he should be 5 IP and done, or be moved to the bullpen until next year.

our only hope is if we sign benny "the jet" rodriguez... other than that we're f***ed.
