Teahen pretty much just did the same thing with this... And damn it, I hate sounding like I am defending Oney, but I expected more out of Teahen.

I didn't say I agree with Teahen making the decision to tweet that. I just said the tweet was 100 percent true, and it was. If Oney is pissy about it, it's because he can't handle the twitter bullying that he normally is dishing out, and can't handle the truth.

Yeah if Teahen fired the first shots as it appears, then he gets what he deserves. I can't stand Oney as much as the next guy, but you can't expect a guy to say nothing when you get called out like that.

I could see that, but shots at his wife are way out of line. Teahen does have a Jim Thome-like reputation as a person so it would be surprising to me that he would suddenly air some dirty laundry. But I could be wrong. Teahen and his wife did have a scheduled charity event the day he was traded. I wonder if something happened then.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is the first time a player has called out Oney. normally it's us or the media, never publicly from players/staff.

All I know about Teahen's wife is that she is way better than that POS Oney Guillen could get.

They are closer to the situation than we are and we all know Oney lives off of Ozzie. There's no defending shots at innocent people and Teahen's wife is totally innocent here. Oney can backtrack and say it was a joke, but we all know the truth. Ozzie apparently doesn't want to show up his 25 year old son and do something about it, so his entire team and employer will continue to be embarrassed by this. Maybe its time Ozzie's wife steps up to the plate and tells her son what an idiot he is. A "you're about an inch from being on your own" may do the trick. Without Ozzie, Oney's selling Streetwise.

This latest twitter gate at least was more interesting to watch than the Sox vs CC with Dunn 4th and Rios 5th.

Well let's put it this way.what would the Guillens reaction be if this was reversed, and Teahen made the same comments about Ibis. Me thinks they might stroke out a bit.

In a masochistic way, this is the most fun thing that's happened with this team in a while. It honestly feels more interesting than the Teahen/Jackson trade.

There's more to this that we don't know....either someone passed something along to Mark that Oney said or Teahen's tweet had nothing to do with Oney. I'm of the opinion that the former is more likely when put in an historical context.
