What are the Sox paying him next year, like 18 million? I'd gladly trade him for Zambrano.

No one in baseball wants anythin to do with Zambrano.

Wait a minute? I have been drinking a little. Rios has 28 RBIs? 28 RBIs on August f***ing 19th!

It went from filthiest stuff of the season to the worst start of the season

How many other starting pitchers in the AL who have lasted the whole season have a starting ERA higher than 5.28?

Was Rios looking at the third base dugout when he finished that swing?

Would anyone want Peavy for 18 million?

We've seen this 4-5 times this year with him.

If they had to choose Peavy at $30 mil or Zambrano at $18, the league would take peavy.

That's how little people want to deal with Zambranos act. Teams wouldnt even take him on an MLB minimum guaranteed contract

Peavy has 5 quality starts out of 15, plus one good bullpen outing. Just not good enough.

Viciedo 1-3, SF

Except for Ozzie ofcourse, he would take him with open arms

I completely disagree with this.

Out of curiosity, is Peavy the highest paid starting pitcher in Sox history this year?

Gotta be cuz he is one of the top 10 paid pitchers in the league, if i am not mistaken.

I believe saying teams soul take him on an MLB minimum contract is a direct line from Stark

First 3 innings: 3.0 INN, 0 H, 0 ER, 5 Ks

Last 3 innings: 3.0 INN, 6 H, 7 ER, 0 Ks

And when teams are looking for starting pitching over the offseason, someone will take a chance on him if they have to pay him a few million. Scouts are saying he's a #4 starter these days.

His 4.82 ERA would Probably be worse than Peavys if you had him in the AL

Anyone still holding out hope for this year??

The loss last night sealed it for me.

Not since before the all-star break.

No hits for Sox since the first batter of the 2nd inning. There is a huge talent difference on the field tonight it seems

They never are when they are on either WGN or WGN "on the U".

This has been a blessing in disguise...thank you WGN!

Not a chance. I wasn't swindled into thinking this team had flipped a after beating up on 2 of the top 3 worst teams in the AL. We're simply not in the league of the elites. And really

Off-topic: good luck to whoever has to play the Phillies come October. Easily the most complete team in baseball. Hunter Pence, like I knew he would, has fit in beautifully.
