It's something I could never wrap my mind around, and always figured most pedophiles were that way because they were abused or neglected.

 

I don't know that I have a number but I would guess that any average subdivision in the Chicago suburbs has one. Not all are abducting and raping children. Many have piles of kiddy porn. Others sexually abuse their kids and no one finds out. There are probably different terms for these people but I'm lumping them together.

 

But you are right it seemed common that they were abused in their homes by their parents.

 

Thing about this: back before the internet there were actual child porn magazines that went through the mail (I've never independently verified that but I was told that by someone that would not make that up). So there were enough people to have an organized collection of pictures and distribution of magazines.

I didnt rush to any judgment. I called it a "rumor" specifically putting it into its rightful context RUMOR.

 

Where did I say it was fact? Where did I say it was reliable?

So no, I did not put any belief into the report except to state that it existed. I called it a rumor to specifically indicate that I had no reason to believe it was true, but once again merely reporting its existence.

Merely showing that there are going to be rumors on both sides, X person will said this happened, Y person will say it never happened. Right now there is very little to no evidence.

The NCAA "punishes" innocent players all the time because of the wrongdoing by their coaches and staff. IN the PSU case you have extreme negligence all the way up the chain. "Punishing" the football team should be the least of the concerns of PSU.

Syracuse police say they are in the early stages of investigating allegations that Syracuse University basketball assistant coach Bernie Fine molested a team ball boy during the 1980s, according to an ESPN report.

 

One of two alleged victims, Bobby Davis, 39, came forward with allegations in 2003, but he was told by authorities that the statute of limitations had run out. At that time, former Syracuse basketball player Dennis Duval was police chief. ESPN’s Outside the Lines was prepared to run a story on the case, but, at the time, they were unable to find any corroborating evidence to support Davis’s claims.

 

Recently, a second alleged victim has come forward to say that he was also molested by Fine. The second man says that the recent Sandusky case inspired him to come forward.

 

Davis alleges that the molestation began in 1983, just before he entered the seventh grade. He later became the team ball boy for six years, and he alleges that the abuse occurred at Fine’s home, in Syracuse basketball facilities, and on road trips. Davis claims that the molestation continued until he was 27 years old.

 

This is Fine’s 35th season as an assistant for head coach Jim Boeheim. Davis says that Boeheim had no knowledge of the alleged attacks.Link
