January 22, 201214 yr I think the Red Sox could afford Ramirez and Floyd or Oswalt, but I don't think they have enough prospects to make it worth the Sox while. Ramirez to Boston, Floyd to Toronto would be intriguing.
January 22, 201214 yr If the Red Sox are in panic mode, how about a deal like this: White Sox send Rios, Floyd, and Escobar White Sox get Matsuzaka, Jenks, and 3-4 lower level prospects Why for the Red Sox - Floyd is an immediate upgrade to everything they have, Escobar can fill in at SS, and Rios can play RF for them, doesnt look like they have much at that position for now. Dice-K and Jenks both are injury prone and probably won't contribute this season anyways - 16 million dollars on nothing right there. Why for the White Sox - Get rid of Rios and his contract. Jenks and Dice-K both expire after this season - 2 bums that can't stay healthy is a price I would pay to get rid of Rios. Get more prospects. So who says no?
