I'm afraid that Dunn's bat speed just isn't there anymore. He's got his vision back (for the most part) since he's really battling in his at bats, but he just can't put solid wood on the ball.

How about a squeeze play?

That's probably the best 0-4, 4 strikeout game you can have. 30 pitches is a TON of pitches to see. That's averaging more than 7 pitches at-bat, and it's hard to be too upset about it, even though they all resulted in a K.

Well, a few people have said it: they are bound to be terrible on defense this year. Clearly they're going to win their fair share with that monster of a lineup, but they're also going to lose ugly sometimes.

I'd say it's fortunate we miss that 3 guy.

Dunn stands out in the worse way with 4 k's today but the Sox struck out a total of 14 times. Not good so I am giving Adam a pass on today. Hope he bounces back from this right away
