Still can't believe Nats traded this guy. In two years, he'll be better than Gio in my opinion.

I don't know about that but he's already awfully good and they gave them Peacock as well as AJ Cole...

Double no-hitter? When's the last time that came close to happening, where two pitchers both had no-hitters through at least 7 IP in the same game, facing each other?

Gavin vs Lilly

Hell of a play by Lillibridge

Here we go Gavin

Oakland, the land of odd noises at a game. Random horns, kazoo's, chants, yells, And of course the noise of the well chucked battery.

really? really? have you not been watching this team this year?

good lord.

Very nice job to look him back Gavin.

Got him to fish on that outside curveball....good location, not out over the plate.

Nice job pitching over the leadoff single

Got just a little bit of extra velocity and got it in on his hands so he couldn't extend.

Good job so far for Gavin, 61 pitches through 4.

+1 to Gavin there, really buckled down

Huh. Literally everyone but Boston is in first place in the East.

Cancel the postgame...beautiful swing by Alexei.

Let's hope this continues, and they keep on beating up on each other.

More of our "opposite field" attack. Good approach on low-and-away cutter.

Viciedo's a joke

Viciedo's going to lead the league in 4-6-3 DP. His mechanics suck at the plate right now. This is a bad 6-7-8-9 in our lineup tonight (ie...our young players)

Edited by fathom

Well, you knew that one was coming with how Viciedo's been struggling.

Why wasn't Alexei Ramirez in motion?

So much for that...at least it's a quick game, even without Mark Buehrle.

Every pitch they are making contact with is at their ankles.......maybe that's a hint.

this is frustrating

Viciedo's a joke

It's 49 at-bats.

Relax.

It's not like anyone in the majors has been hitting this guy so far, at least not that well.

He's still got an OPS hundreds of points better than Beckham and Morel.

And he's played better defense than Brent too this year.

Finally and, he's much younger than both those guys.

LOL at LaHair being intentionally walked to face Soriano.

It's a good story, 29 year old journeyman with his 15 minutes of fame.

Guess the Matheny honeymoon period is over for Cardinals' fans to lose two games like that to the Cubs.

He's a pretty strong hitter. Umps in that Cubs game have been awful.
