Gameday Thread-Doubleheader Special: White Sox vs Indians

Featured Replies

Umpires are a disgrace to baseball again this year.

I wish they'd just fire them all and re-hire them, the ones that actually care about baseball.

No way we can expect to get out of this situation unscathed.

First and third nobody out.

Sox woes continue.

Well, looks like all of our pitchers have a case of the "Danks" these days. Feel free to miss a bat, Thornton.

For f***'s sake. He's never had control issues, why is this starting now?

Matt screwing us again

Bad things have a way of happening when you throw six consecutive fastballs.

I wish Hafner was on the White Sox.

It's possible Thornton is just getting older. Thank god Kenny gave a reliever in his mid-30s a 4 year deal for a mediocre-to-bad team.

We don't even get to see another Chris Perez/Rios confrontation next inning.

:-(

Why does this happen over and over.

Hafner had a terrible stretch there for 2-3 years.

Nobody thought he would ever come back to be the player he's been the last couple of seasons.

Finally threw 2 sliders that AB to Hafner.

Duncan vs. Thornton should be interesting. Would rather see Nathan Jones here, despite the possibility of the walk to load the bases.

Cause we are hexed from 2005. We get one title and are supposed to be happy with it.

They should be walking Duncan to get to Cunningham.

You want a contract worse than Rios'?

More AWFUL managing by Ventura. Duncan's a great fastball hitter, and you have Aaron F'n Cunningham up next.

Yes, but I love grinders and he is one.

Thornton gives up a rope.

Oh boy, Sox are slumping. Loss after loss after loss.

What the hell is going on with Thornton? He never used to miss over the plate like this.

Thornton s***s the bed again, what else is new.

What's the alternative?

Mt blowing another game.

And Ventura strikes again.

Well, really it's our $12 million worth of commitment but can't consistently get out anyone this year "set up" guy in our supposedly lock-down bullpen, lol.

So much for turning the game over to the pen.

Jim never had a second cup of coffee.

Hey Robin, you going to bring in Reed to face Hannahan again?

Sox losing before a crowd of about 50 fans in Cleveland.

Walk the bases loaded, set up the DP possibility.

Hope and pray Thornton doesn't walk in the run.

If you didn't know it, you would think the last 2 weeks that Ozzie Guillen was managing our bullpen, except he was intentionally mismanaging so as to lose games and get out of town ASAP.
