Danks' numbers aren't that bad. He still averages a K per game, but so do a lot of guys. OBP over .400.

With his glove and probably better speed than Fukudome, he may be worth calling up soon.

Fantastic control this season.

1 unearned now.

Ravelo's last 10 games, he has 8 hits... all singles. He also has 5 walks, vs 2 K's. Lots of contact, good plate discipline, but little power.

With 4 walks tonight, Jared Mitchell has now reached base 9 consecutive times on 3 singles and 5 walks. He has 8 walks in his last 3 games.

Doyle continues to dominate. Blair Walters had a nice start, and Castro was awesome.

Can anyone argue that Doyle has more upside than Axelrod or Stewart? And if so, why?

Mitchel now has a .905 OPS. That's f***ing amazing considering he plays half his games at a pitchers' park and missed a full year of development. The only concern is the strikeouts, although some of those are the result of trying to draw walks. He's definitely back in the long-term mix.

That's what they said about Wade Boggs.....

Baseball America picked Castro as its Prospect Pitcher of the Day for his performance Monday.

it's the first time they said something nice about a Sox prospect since 2001 -- when they were in love with Matt Ginter and Jon Rauch.

Except Ravelo doesn't have good plate discipline. That's an isolated stretch. He still doesn't walk enough for a guy with no power.

Lately. Lately. 2 K's in 10 games, and 5 walks, is good plate discipline. I wasn't saying he's always been that way.
