Huge series win there...didn't want to come riding a win streak and lose a series to a bad team.

 

Sox showed TONS of fight yesterday. Couldn't quite pull it out. Off days for our 1,4,5 and 9 hitters today and win the game...big series win.

Sale threw 119 pitches. Yikes.

 

I know he was on extra rest and he will be...but that's just not good.

 

119 awesome pitches. He had to scratch and claw to keep his rotation slot, and now Kenny/Robin/Coop are looking at an ace on the hill every fifth day.

Now you can hear on the radio how they are overusing him due to the high pitch counts not taking into account all of the off days.

Big win and it saved out bullpen. We are set up for the next series with a rested pen, this was one of the most important games of the season coming off of Saturday's loss and the way RV used the pen. Nice work.
