Jose Martinez is starting to look more and more dangerous.

 

And, Molina's actually pitching a very good game, too. Everything's coming up roses, lol.

Enormous upside for sure, not having as good a year as those three however. Potential wise though.. you are right, he's the best and is younger.

Good to see Wilkins mashing since coming off the DL. Had such a horrendous start to the season, but he's looking good now. Just don't trade him for Youk now KW!

Would trade Wilkins in a heartbeat if it meant keeping Thornton and Crain for down the stretch.

I would drive to Birmingham to pick Wilkins up and then drive him up to Boston if that's all it took to get Youkilis.

Why would we give up Mitchell unless we're getting a large amount of salary relief?

 

And they can't eat salary (much) because it hampers their ability to make any other moves without going over the cap.

 

 

The White Sox can't afford to give up their best prospects just to conserve money/resources anymore.

 

 

Giving up our best position prospect, Mitchell, for a Youkalis in sharp decline who Boston is trying to dump, would be clownish - absolutely insane.

This division/playoffs will be won or lost based upon Sale, Peavy and hopefully an energized Danks, plus an effective pen. We have pop and can withstand a lineup hole.

We need Mitchell to develop into a ML outfielder, or else we'll have DeWayne Wise Jr. in the outfield in 2014. Already we're ridiculously short in the outfield with Fukudome as our big bench bat.

This post is just ridiculous. No team is offering a prospect like Mitchell for half a season of Kevin f***ing Yoikilis. I know your always negative about Sox, but try to be somewhat realistic with your complaints and theories.

Two more nice hitting games by outfielders Haddow (Kanny) and Earley (W-S). Both hitting close to .340. Wish they would get promoted.

Since KW Jr isn't getting out of the way (even if he should), there has to be a chain reaction starting from the top. Like... Danks2 gets promoted with Fukudome released/DL'd... Mitchell goes to AAA to take D2's spot... Early or Shoemaker moves up to AA to take Mitchell's spot... Haddow moves up to take Early/Shoemaker's spot. That sort of thing.

No need to move Mitchell up this soon. He just rebounded from a slump and made some adjustments and is hitting the ball well again. Let him stay in Birmingham for another month or so then if you think he's ready, move him up. However, there is no problem with him staying in AA. It is a talented league and he's learning a lot this year (and growing a lot as a player).
