Hector has an adequate curveball, it's just inadequately controlled. All of his secondary pitches are okay, but never calling for them makes their ineffectiveness into a self-fulfilling prophesy. This is why he should be starting in AAA

 

Yeah, I don't know why they haven't done this. He's plenty young, and we've got other guys, like Septimo, that could get the job done, perhaps, at least as well as Hector's currently doing it. To me, this is a rebuild-on-the-fly opportunity, to possibly develop another starter.
