That's a pretty good idea. It would allow them to keep an extra arm in the pen, and Sale isn't going to be pitching anyway. Makes sense - I hope that's what they do.

Not really ridiculous. He can't hit. He gets hot for a 2 week period a couple times per season and that's about it for him. Why not just enjoy his great defense while realizing any base hit from this Brian Anderson clone will be a bonus.

He's an OK starter, not amazing. I don't see why an interesting narrative has to be created about each particular guy

Great post IMO. Gavin is what he is. He's about a B to B-minus pitcher.

I'd be surprised if he didn't bring a vet utility guy before deadline.

Why not a trade that will upgrade our starting lineup? Kenny seems to have been able to get rotation guys for backups and minor leaguers up till this point, maybe he can work his magic again and get us a better 2B player
