He's 23, he's going to take some lumps in his first full season. This was the plan.

Does not mean he cannot sit some days.

Totally agree. The only problem with "the plan", though, is that it didn't orginally involve winning. So the plan has changed somewhat. However, I'd rather keep Tank in the lineup, especially since we're generally hitting well enough to cover him up. Dude needs experience, though. Can't bench him down the stretch if you want him to gain experience in meaningful situations.

I'm actually optimistic Olmedo will contribute here.

Wow, I take that back. That looked like a pitcher batting.

Well, at least he kept the fans cool down the first base line with all that waving

Gordon almost went deep again.

Confident Gordon = Good

At least Gordon looks more like an actual major league player his last few at bats.

He's letting his swing fly instead of trying to guide the bat.

Sox 1-0 thru 3

No hitter broken

Peavy's not exactly sharp tonight, hopefully he keeps finding a way to get their hitters out.

Nice job JP

Blaah. Nice rip, Adam.

Better contact by Dunn, bad luck there

Dunn finally hit the ball hard and Dyson robs him.

Ahhhh Weee Willie Harris. Peapod!

Chen's making it look easy. Rios looked like he tweaked his back in that AB.

Sox 1-0 thru 4

Cy Chen is back.

5-2 Tigers after the 6th.

Tigers seem like they're just scoring at will right now.

And usually when he pitches against us too

Boesch, Peralta and Avila are hitting much better since the ASB. When you combine that with their awesome trio of Jackson, Cabrera and Fielder, you have the makings of a dynamic offense.

Making the Yankmees pitchers look bad

That chart they showed of the Sox through the last 54 and the first 54 is very interesting. Everything was pretty much identical.

But then again, with a 54 game sample size, a lot of stuff should be fairly identical.

Another run for Tigers.

Thanks, Chris Perez.
