My thought is that there is hardly a more important game in which we are losing...so if they think Brett is the best chance for us to stay close and win, I'm not mad about it. Just don't do it against the Twins tomorrow.

It's called surrender.

Sox have a lot of home games left. They hit at home. Stop watching if being in first place bothers you so much.

Sounds funny, but tomorrow night's game might be the biggest game of the season. If they go out and lose badly and crowd seems to turn on them, it could get ugly quickly next week. If they go out and slug the hell out of the ball and get some momentum, then things set up well for the next 10 games.

Never watched Breaking Bad much but can't wait for the new season of Dexter.

My friends keep telling me to watch Dexter. I think I saw a few seasons on Netflix.

How much? Put your money where your mouth is big boy.

I'd put my money where my mouth is anytime, but that would require you to have money. Your paper route doesn't pay that much.

This would be a good time for you to bust out, Paulie

What was the Tigers over/under??? I bet they have no chance at hitting that.

94.5 for Detroit, 76.5 for Sox.

Scared, just like I thought.

Detroit isn't 41-26 at home for no reason (about to be 42-26)..they're a great home team. The Sox are a .500 road team but terrible at Comerica. I'm not sure how expectations could have been anything but a sweep, perhaps 1 of 3, considering we were facing Verlander and a hot Scherzer in this series (I predicted they'd win Fri night).

I'm not sweating this sweep too much...it is what it is. While winning a game or two would have done wonders for the Sox, the odds were greatly against them. We've proven we're a good team and will bounce back from his dreadful road trip.

I don't understand posts like this. One lousy win in six games? We couldn't even get that. I mean yes Detroit is way better than the Sox but 1-2 wins out of 6 are not that tough to get?

LOL. Great comeback. Loved it.

It would be nice for Rios to get a hit in Detroit.

Walks from Valverde is our main chance here.

AJ is not going to react well if he's the last out and Valverde is dancing on the mound.

Duh, they are gonna win 11, not 9.

Wrong again.

I just remembered, Breaking Bad is on right now. This night just got so much better, f*** baseball.

I like Hell on Wheels, Mad Men. I haven't got into Breaking Bad yet. They ruin Sunday with that Small Town Security.

AJ needs to go away for about a week.

Anytime Konerko wants to join the team and start hitting again we would welcome it.

He has no chance if he keeps hitting it in the air to center/right. Doesn't have the power needed to do that successfully. Alexei and Rios have to stay on top more and start driving it to LF again.

Enjoy the moment Detroit

Because booing him will really affect him.

Dan Johnson getting ready to PH for someone

Tying man to the plate. Better than nothing, eh?

DAN JOHNSON :D

Be a hero, Johnson! Also means Dunn is probably out for a while.

Lets do it Dan!

.138 career pinch hitting. This bodes well for us, I think

Lucky Valverde only has to face the Sox for an inning.

One of the greatest pinch hits of all time though.
