I'd be stunned if he's not on the Dodgers next year. To his credit, it's no shock he's tiring down the stretch. Just an insane workload for him this season, and there were definitely opportunities to limit his pitch count in earlier starts.

 

Maybe we could send him there now and get Gonzalez. He could replace Dunn.

 

I doubt any of this would have happened had he just brought Crain in to begin the inning. Or you know, left Myers in.

The Sox aren't equipped to win games when their starter goes 5.2 innings.

Sox still breathing if there's any life in the offense. Down 3 with six outs to go. Got to get somebody on base before anybody can get excited though. That's been darn near impossible to do vs. Cy Fister.

How do you figure? The addition of Veal has made it easier to use Thornton for a full inning if needed. As much as I'm disappointed in Peavy, this is all on the offense. Viciedo is clearly overmatched against RHP, but how about Konerko turn his season around and start performing like a #4 hitter and not a slappy #9 hitter?

He is what he is. A decent pitcher. I can't believe how high his pitch counts go sometimes in a minimal amount of innings.

There's still some hope for us. Benoit and Valverde will probably pitch the last two innings.
