Hahn to become GM, Williams promoted to Vp of Bball Ops?

Part of me thinks Hahn wouldn't take the promotion if he wasn't fully given the keys to the car. Why would he stick around when he's supposedly one of the top GM candidates in baseball, only to have Kenny pulling the strings for the big stuff like free agency and trades?

Kenny is still going to have a huge say. We'll still see "HOLY s*** WHERE DID THAT COME FROM!?" moves in the Peavy mold.

I like it. I hope Hahn can be more hands on. KW is a good GM IMO, but maybe a new set of eyes can do wonders. Isn't Hahn a sabr guy? That's only a plus to me.

More hands on then Kenny Williams? Your expectations are crazy.

Yeah, you have to go to the VIP room a tip the stripper $100 to get more hands on than KW.

No way in hades Castro or Molina are closing to being 3 starters, you can forget that one happening.

Santiago has more talent than either one of those guys.

What will be interesting is the "tea leaves reading" of all the moves, trying to attribute our offseason to KW or Hahn.

For example, will certain posters be thrilled KW is "gone" or will they be even more upset he got a promotion and is perceived to be running the team still?

Does anyone believe this will have ANY impact at all on season ticket sales or the perception of the fans, playoffs or not?

Will we now not credit KW with getting any more than the 2005 and 2008 teams to the playoffs, officially?

Neither one of those guys is the best pitching prospect in the organization. I love the strides that Erik Johnson has taken. IMO, he's their #1 pitching prospect.

Will.i.Hahn.

Someone suspend me for that one.

If I suspend you, then I wont get to gaze upon Tebow everytime you post. I cant take that

Balta, did you see the Tebow shoot for Vogue?

I was referring to Hahn being in control and KW just sitting back. I didn't mean being more hands on than KW has been since 2001 or whatever.

I read that Hahn was the highest paid assistant GM in baseball. Last year Kenny wanted to step down on become a scout. I think Kenny will probably work more in that area.
