I seriously think he is concerned about moving a vet out of their spot. The only time we see changes at the top are due to that player being out, and insert here replacement being placed in their spot.

Its hard not to walk someone when the mope behind the plate is moving all over the place trying to scope out the corners. The ump cant figure it out.

Thornton just doesn't have the velocity to throw it past hitters. Terrible pitch there, especially after he was struggling throwing to that location all inning.

Thornton has an aversion to scoreless innings.
