For this year maybe. Meyer was a 1st round pick and put up some really good numbers this year, and now they can see if Ben Revere turns into a really good leadoff hitter.

 

Span's a good hitter, but he's a flawed player. He's fast but can't steal bases, shaky defensively at times, doesn't always hit for great average, no real power to speak of. I'd take him on the Sox, but really I think Ben Revere, with even less power than Span, is probably going to end up being a better player.

Thank god Span is out of the AL. He blooped the s*** out of the Sox.

Span gone, Raburn gone and possibly Bruce Chen. This is already a pretty decent offseason even without any Sox moves.
