That's exactly it. He'd pretty much committed to coming back, but he's walked out the door before, so he can certainly do it again. It's the same thing with Rivera - he's not going to sign with anybody else, but to go through rehab to get himself back into game shape, he needs to get paid.

The Royals are looking to trade Bruce Chen. PLEASE trade him to the NL. Or better yet, we should trade for him and just stash him in AAA. The $4.5 million he's making isn't a big deal when you consider how many times he shuts us down every year.
