At least we aren't Lions fans, LOLOL. The division was handed to them on a silver platter and they proceeded to throw up all over it.

Sports fans love to overexaggerate and use ridiculous superlatives in describing how bad their teams are. In this case, however, they are all warranted for how bad the Bears run defense is. If the Packers were to sign Dorsey Levens or Edgar Bennett to replace Lacy on Sunday, they would have a decent chance to run for 100 yards, no matter how old they are today.

Really the surprising thing is the only thing worse than the bears rushing defense is the Browns rushing offense.

Lovie kept pushing the expiration date back and getting a lot out of what he had, but once that cliff came they went careening over it at 100 MPH

With the losses of Melton, Tillman, and Briggs I would guess petty bad. Maybe not this bad, but I think it's fair to say that it wouldn't be anywhere near last year. Peppers getting old hasn't helped either.

With as many long runs as they allow, I am actually surprised it isn't worse. The Bears defense actually allows on average, the opponents RBs to be 1977 Walter Payton.

Lovie had continuity on the defense for many years. He wouldn't have had that this year. Players like Roach, Idonije, and Urlacher were around for a while. That combined with the number of injuries is just a recipe for disaster.

The Lions Lionsed and therefore are no longer in the hunt. The Bears or Packers will finish with a better record(9-7 or 8-7-1) than they can possibly have(8-8)
