March 23, 201313 yr QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 23, 2013 -> 02:29 PM) ok ladies, bring it down a notch. Dont want to be handing out suspensions in the middle of the tournament. No more namecalling you just called them ladies
March 23, 201313 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 23, 2013 -> 12:58 PM) If McGary keeps playing this well, he's going to be getting a lot of NBA attention. Seems like the type of kid who will stick around at least one more year, if not two. I've told anyone who would listen that he will be a better pro than Robinson III for a few years now.
March 23, 201313 yr QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Mar 23, 2013 -> 01:11 PM) McGary is a good player, but has a long way to go. This game was built for him, assuming he didn't get flustered, which he hasn't. He's basically a junk player (and I do not mean that as a slam). He plays with energy, crashes the boards and picks up bunnies from those rebounds and dump offs from penetrating guards. This is a game made for that type of player. He actually has more to his skill game than he has showed at Michigan. He has a nice midrange game, and handles the ball pretty well for a big man.
March 23, 201313 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 23, 2013 -> 01:21 PM) Yeah this. The hype will be high on him after today but he still has little basketball skill. Still a very valuable piece but there was a reason his high school fall was so well documented once people figured out he was limited. His fall in HS was due to not doing anything in the classroom and nagging foot injuries. That's why Michigan limited his minutes early, so they could get him back into shape. You guys are finally getting to see the McGary I got to see play when he was in HS.
March 24, 201313 yr QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 24, 2013 -> 04:57 PM) nothing like a 11-51 combined start for Kansas-UNC in the first 13. They are trying to give me a false sense of confidence next week.
March 24, 201313 yr QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 24, 2013 -> 06:45 PM) Minny getting screwed by the refs. Even the announcers are pointing it out Putting together an impressive comeback now.
March 25, 201313 yr What an atrocious call for Andre Hollins' fourth. That reeks of fixed game, how ridiculous
March 25, 201313 yr The one thing to look forward to without basketball, is the constant griping about the refs from fans, announcers, and studio analysts.
March 25, 201313 yr They are so much worse than NBA refs. Lots of us don't like the style of rule enforcement in the NBA, but you pretty much know exactly what to expect.
March 25, 201313 yr Good lord are they calling this one closely EDIT: that Mbakwe call looks more obvious on replay Edited March 25, 201313 yr by Jake
March 25, 201313 yr Let's gooo FGCU! Apparently Ft. Myers is renowned for its drugs. The two people I knew who lived there say they didn't know what "doing drugs" really meant until moving there. Don't even wanna know.
March 25, 201313 yr QUOTE (farmteam @ Mar 24, 2013 -> 06:55 PM) Let's gooo FGCU! Apparently Ft. Myers is renowned for its drugs. The two people I knew who lived there say they didn't know what "doing drugs" really meant until moving there. Don't even wanna know. I thought it was known for retirees from up north. Oh wait, that's Sarasota, right next to Ft. Myers.
March 25, 201313 yr Hard to say which one was better, Fieler and Comer in the upset over GU FRI or the McKnight one in the first half today. FGCU and LaSalle/Mississippi and Oregon (well, not really) are looking to be the only double digit seeds left. Would be great to see Creighton knock off Duke, too. March 25, 201313 yr FGCU - UF should be an interesting game. Wondering if the Eagles will come back to earth?
