Please come up with a good strategy to actually hit Guthrie this year. He's a junk baller, but he's efficient as hell. Gotta not swing for the fences and get some solid hits.

e14427.gif Brilliant!

Looking forward to this again later, although feeling the least confident out of the three games. How do people think Floyd will fair out tonight?

Gavin Floyd is 4-1 with a 2.25 ERA over his last six starts against Kansas City.

He gawn

De Aza has been god awful so far

Looking like a pitchers duel through 1

Single = 2 Victory Points (VP)

Double = 5 VP

Triple = 10 VP

Homer = 20 VP

Gavin K = 2 VP (+1 VP if Hawk does NOT say HE GAWWN)

Gavin BB = -2 VP

Fantastic defensive play = 10 VP

Viciedo makes no errors = 10 VP

Dunn doesn't strike out = 10 VP

Royals defenders collide = 10 VP

I am using this to score baseball in the future.

Good first inning from him.

Wait... wait. Hawk thinks highly of Salvador Perez? This is news to me....

Taking huge cuts at everything ... No good.

For someone who complains about someone saying the same thing over and over again and being predictable, you sure do say the same things over again and are very predictable. Besides, Stone praises Perez more than Perez' mother praises him.

Gotta learn from the Master I suppose.

Cy Guthrie with 4Ks thru 2

Well that was a quick inning

Guthrie was pretty awful against everyone but the White Sox last year, wasn't he?

He was God awful for the Rockies then finished up strong with the Royals it seems like. That is why KC resigned him.

That's probably why the Royals targeted him: taking 12/18 from us wasn't good enough

He gave up 1 earned in over 29 innings against the Sox last year. His NL ERA was 6.32, and against everyone else while pitching in a KC uniform 4.52.

Last year he had 4 starts against the Sox with a 0.30 ERA

Not missing a beat.

This game has the look of one of those Floyd mistakes going about 400 feet to right center and a 3-0 final.

Thank you Gordon :)

Nice. Perfectly executed hit and run !

don't look now, we might actually get an non-homerun run

that was sweet
