Long ball is nice & all....but our record is what it is because thats ALL we can do from an offensive standpoint.

If Ale & Kepp can start hitting consistently & the sleeping giants in Dunn & Paulie wake up fully this offense will be much better.

Tank & Flowers well.......I just dont know right now haha

On the radio yesterday, they were saying how much better he swings when he goes after the first pitch.

Alexei's been hitting very well already. .325 on the season, .857 OPS. Much hotter than his usual first 2 weeks of April.

DJ and Farmer pointing out that DeAza's not trusting his hands at all and not able to time fastballs yet this season...that he pretty much accidentally ran into that one.

Well, we'll take anything we can get at this point.

Not sure a ball hit that hard is accidentally

He's been trying to hit that the entire day.

Thornton in.

Speed kills.

Fundamentals

Thornton with a late start getting over there, didn't run as hard as he needed to.

Hmmm...no excuses for that. What did they do all spring in AZ?

That's why you don't slide into first headfirst

Break his hand when were done with him.

NOT fundamentals or communication.

Yeah, looks like his hand got stepped on. Might well have broken something.

Edit: eww, bleeding badly.

Sure looked broken the way the trainer was handling it, but probably just a few stitches.

Hopefully the "good" version of Addison Reed shows up today.

Brantley/Swisher/Stubbs/Giambi/Raburn...due up

He had a three ball one strike count on a buck 22 hitter and I was afraid he would walk him. Good job by Matt

He's been great, but with this losing streak, nothing will surprise me.
