How did DeAza going from K'ing roughly 20% of the time 109/524 (2013) to his current version?

C. Carter now has 47 K's in 100 AB's.

Porcello would get claimed by every team in baseball. His ERA is inflated cause that one horrific start. I want the Tigers to get rid of him after he dominated the Sox last season.

If the other 8 guys are not making outs at a Juan Pierre rate you can live with flowers as most teams have those issues. It is the 2 for 50 run thtt Dunn had and the current konerko with kepp and deaza that magnify flowers shortcomings.

BABIP is more informative if you look at it next to other batted ball stats. If BABIP is down and line drive % is down, then he isn't unlucky

Even if it works out, I can't believe Ventura brought in a righty to face Berkman.

Almost any team in baseball could have had Berkman or Eric Chavez for almost nothing 2 years ago.

 

Unfortunately, we ended up with Dunn instead.

Very timely. Robin must have planned it that way.

Huge DP! The passed ball might have been the best thing for the Sox.

Kep's line drive percentage is way up, but his ground ball percentage is down. His HR/FB is down (of course) to 0, so it is hard to take away a simple lucky/unlucky reading from the numbers. His infield fly ball is up, but not alarmingly so.

This is to be seen. He looked very good behind the plate last year, but has had several lapses defensively in this short season.

We can't survive Rios and Konerko both sliding offensively.
