I like this Adam Dunn on the bench thing.

I actually enjoy watching him "field". It's quite comical.

Man, that was a nice win. The top of the order was amazing. Please leave Lexi at second in the order, just because he's an above average to good major leaguer. Thank you.

Rios' bomb was crushed. He looked so confident tonight in raking all those hits. Peavy did very well.

Are nights like this so difficult? Keep it up, Sox. You got a lot of work to do a week and a half into May.

He's not nearly as bad as you guys make him out to be with the glove. Yea he is below average, but so is Konerko. Dunn is actually pretty decent at scooping throws and has more range than Konerko. I think Hawk has tricked a lot of people into thinking Konerko is a good first basemen.

This team just needs to score runs. They played TB, Texas, KC and the Mets, all of whom had their aces at one point, and were .500 against them despite hardly being able to score. They have scored the fewest runs they have scored through the first 30 games since 1968. If they can get some offense, despite what Andrew thinks, this is a good team. If they continue to hit like they have hit, they will get buried.

If this is a we only post when we lose thread, that's not true. Nobody watched the game last night thanks to the Bulls. Slowest game thread in board history.

Edit: yeah, judging by kyyles reponse that is what it was.

I agree. Our pitching staff is strong enough to keep us in most games. You don't throw in the towel in mid May, not when you have good pitching.

The way I look at it is that we're 14-18 with basically the worst White Sox offense I can remember. Part of that is due to regression, part is due to injury, part is due to growing pains, and part is due to bad luck. Other than Rios & Gillaspie, our offense has been the definition of Murphy's law.

However, this won't last all season. We get Viciedo and Beckham back soon, which will help big time IMO. At some point, guys like Keppinger, Konerko, & Dunn have to play better (Dunn already seems to be getting there). Flowers may not be the player I envisioned in the offseason, but he won't be this bad all year. And if he is, at least we have a wildcard in AAA by the name Joshua Aaron Phegley.

I have faith the offense will get better, but whether it will improve enough to make us a playoff caliber team remains to be seen. But isn't that the reason we watch the games though? And at least we didn't dig ourselves an Angels or Blue Jays size hole. There is still some hope with this team.

Yeah if I were Ventura I'd keep shaking up that 2 hole spot with a Gillespie/Ramirez/Beckham combo until Kepp gets his head out of his ass. If you play Kepp, he hits 8th/9th period at this point.

Does Jordan Danks make enough contact to be a lead off hitter?

No.

I actually think Adam Dunn does a good job at 1B, Now if he can hit maybe he has a future in this game :) ;)

But trading Jake Peavy would drive the fans away.

The #WhiteSox played 2 games at Citi Field. In those two games, they had their lowest (1) and tied for highest (13) hit total of the season

To be honest, baseball is on standby for me as long as BHawks and Bulls are in it, but is refreshing to see the offense put a string of hits together.
