Nothing like waiting until Jones has no breathing room to bring him in. Ventura absolutely got caught sleeping there, and had to waste more time to get Jones up.

Can we fire Ventura now or do we have to wait after the game?

I still think Omogrosso has a place on this team. But yeah, he has to be protected a bit.

 

Robin is trying to get a two-day break for a taxed back end of bullpen so without a lead, the only guys available are Omo, Veal, and Jones

Nope. But long-term, you have to hope he's part of the solution because we can't afford to find a replacement....you don't trade the likes of an Erik Johnson to fix a bullpen problem.

Couldn't disagree more. You have tomorrow off and your starting pitcher gave you 6 innings. You should be able to piece together 3 innings from your bullpen. Omogrosso had no business starting this inning. If the score was something like 5-1 going into this inning, then that's fine.
