It really is amazing that Dunn is only player to homer in last 14 games. There's probably been 5 or 6 pitchers to homer during that time.

You realize, we've had the easiest schedule in MLB up until now and we're already 8 games .500 and missing Floyd and Peavy? Konerko is obviously not 100% physically or simply got old in baseball terms, Dunn is Dunn...the bullpen's a mess, there are just way too many holes to make a contender out of this team.

Dunn has looked better this past week. Last I checked, his OPS is actually higher than the team OPS. I'm far more concerned about a guy like PK who just looks lost and isn't even hustling anymore.

I officially gave up on Dunn after he used the "hit it where it is pitched" approach en route to bashing about 8-10 home runs, then immediately went into another 1-for-30 type funk. The big fella is a lousy baseball player. I agree I would have praised him greatly had that shot to left sailed over the fence, but it was just another out. Funny he's not even worth $1-3 million a year anymore, much less whatever astronomical amount he's making.

Losing 9 of 10 and dropping to last place this time of year is not making you any friends in the Sox front office.
