We should have taken Verlander's little brother just to f*** with Detroit.

I'm sure I'll get myself blasted for this, but it's been a very underwhelming group of picks today for the Sox. A bunch of mediocre college players it seems.

Watch him be a steal while Jordan Danks has been a disappointment :)

I'm going to go heat up some lunch, someone take over my duties for the next couple rounds!

He's getting better. Dan tweets at me about it, he basically said he was nervous but is getting more comfortable. He's a nice guy.

@C5tringer

Named (along with teammate Austin Kubitza) a second team 2013 Preseason All-America selection by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).

Wayne Graham said -- "Christian is a valid top-of-the-line Division I player. He should be one of the best second basemen in the country."

Joey Wagman, RHP, Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo , SR, 6'00" lbs DOB: 07/25/91

I like the Joey Wagman pick. He had a complete game, 12 K performance vs ND this year and he went 8 innings allowing 1 run vs San Diego (and Babe Bryant) last week.

Adam Engel, CF, University of Louisville, R/R, JR, 6'01" 215lbs DOB: 12/09/91

@AEngel_10

Engel has one of the most exciting packages of tools among college players in this Draft class, but a disappointing spring has hurt his stock. Engel has plus-plus speed and plays excellent defense in center field. He is a leadoff type of hitter who relies on making contact with his line-drive swing. However, Engel has struggled at the plate for almost a full year. He hit just .229 in the Cape Cod League last summer and hasn't improved much back at Louisville this season. Engel's elite athleticism and potential still give him a good chance to go high in the Draft.

Interesting pick, wonder if he signs. Like the athleticism.

^Awesome twitter handle, but he just tweeted this.... "I just don't get it.." lol, uh oh. I wonder if Padres promised him a late pick or something.

Looks like we got the best hitter on San Diego's team!

FYI, Louisville is about to play on ESPN in 10 minutes, and Engel is their leadoff hitter.

You can watch him on ESPN3.com as well.....

Except the Carolina - Carolina game is in the 8th.
