Adam Engel will lead off the next inning for Louisville. The game is back on regular ESPN now.

SS Christian Stringer and the Rice Owls play in about 25 minutes.

@JacobMorris4

He's not quite the hitter

Basehit for Engel. Hit a linedrive up the middle, pitcher deflected it right behind the mound, but Engel way too fast for the pitcher to even make a play. Announcers say he will likely try to steal 2nd and 3rd here.

Why try and bunt him over?

It sure seems like Red Sox are drafting a lot of overslot players since the 11th round started.

Engel tossed out by a mile. What a bum.

Engel called out at second. Ball beat him by 10 feet, almost got away with an awkward slide, but he was out.

For those of us who don't follow the draft, please tell us about our No. 1 pick. Who is he and when will he be in the bigs, etc? Also any other highlights. Thank u.

I've noticed the same. Almost all their players have had scouting videos and bios.

Check the Day 1 draft thread, or Tim Anderson's thread in the minor league section.

Christian Stringer batting 2nd and playing 2B.

Game is on ESPNNews, and then will probably go to ESPN2 once this Miss St./Virginia game is over.

I did a writeup on him here. After you read that, head over to FutureSox and read their writeup. Then you'll know as much as everyone else.

I did a writeup on all of our days 1 and 2 picks here and I'm sure there are similar things available over at FutureSox as well.

And Stringer strikes out on a slider as well.
