June 21, 201312 yr Carlos Lee has announced his retirement from baseball. Lee said on a radio show in Panama that he received offers from four different teams over the offseason, but none of them were for the two years he desired. "El Caballo" hit .285/.339/.483 with 358 homers, 1,363 RBI and 125 stolen bases over 14 major league seasons. In addition to making $130.275 million during his career, Lee also Lee owns and operates profitable cattle ranches, so he's done quite well for himself. He was a lot of fun to watch come up with the White Sox.
June 21, 201312 yr From year to eyar he seemingly had a different approach at the plate. I've never seen anyone do quite that. He was a fun hitter. Only 3 guys left from that 2000 team that are still active (though there's 1 that I don't think has announced his retirement).

Technically no, but he's not a major league pitcher any more. He made some starts for the Padres last year but he was terrible (and don't let the 4.58 ERA fool you, that was about to balloon up to about 6.58 the way he was giving up baserunners).

Walking proof that errors are the worst way to judge defenders, especially outfielders I wouldn't exactly say the worst way since we have seen that fielding it once it hits the ground is something some outfielders have trouble doing consistently (De Aza). Sox have over run and kicked quite a few balls around the outfield this year. There's something to be said for not allowing extra bases.
