Yeah it is kind of a bummer to lose the last game after a 6 game winning streak, but all in all it was a great homestand. You really couldn't have asked for anything more. All 7 of the starts by the starters were quality starts. The Sox held the Rangers to 9 ER in 4 games! The offense looked incredible until today. Frank Thomas was a huge stud with his 4 HR's.

 

Now we just need to figure out how to bottle this team and take it on the road!

I agree totally, you can't ask for much more, except for a win today. But we played a great game today, that's the kind of loss I can take, things could be much worse.

At least from a fan's perspective the expectations are 3-0 vs. the Tigers. Anything less is kind of a disapointment. With the Yankmees, grab a win and leave 1-2 and life isn't too bad. On the other hand 3-0 vs. the Yankmees and start printing the playoff tix (from a fan perspective)

1 in the 1st Texas game on Thursday

1 in the 2nd Texas game on Friday

2 in the 3rd Texas game on Saturday

 

That's 6, and he shared AL Player of the Week honors with Tejada.

 

And Frank is only 9 away from his career high of 43 HR set back in the 2000 season. It would be awesome to see him get it, not only because I'm a huge fan of his, but also because if he continues his power onslaught, it bodes VERY well for the Sox chances at the division.

As far as our road trip goes, I'm hoping for 4-2, and if I could pick my wins, I would prefer 2 against the Yankees and 2 against the Tigers. If we come back 4-2, it would have to be considered a success, IMO.

With those 3 guys we're pitching, I'd be disappointed if we got swept in NY,
