July 19, 201312 yr You can't just put Sale's arm on ice until Sox get good again. it might be a long long time. We pitch him and try to build a team quickly around this better than average starting rotation.

But there's no reason to throw these guys 110+ innings. Going more innings is the goal - not throwing more pitches. The Sox lead the league in high inning starts and I am not to the point where I think that Robin Ventura knows more than his peers.
