Sox have lost the 1st 2 of the 3 game series and looking to avoid the sweep.

 

I think this is a key start for Rienzo pitching against a patient team on the road looking to stop a mini slide by the Sox. If Rienzo can throw strikes and keep the White Sox in the game, I , for one , will believe he can be a key cog in the rotation next year.

Little Leury with a 1 hop smash to deep short that Drew snags with the backhand on 1 knee ,spins and fires and Little Leury beats it out.

Little Leury picked off but beats the throw to 2nd easy. The kid is very fast .

Lineup today really weak.

Nasty hook by Rienzo to K Victorino on 3 pitches.

Nice to have speed on the team with L Garcia. But we also need HITTERS that can bang that ball and bring in runners

Keppinger flys out to CF. AviGar picked off does not beat the throw to 2nd for the 2nd out. Viciedo 4/7 lifetime against Dubront but Keppinger still ahead of him in the middle of the order. Dayan grounds to short . 3 outs. Stone speculating Viciedo may have tweaked his back on swing and miss at the 2-0 pitch.

Red Sox lineup full of LH hitters with 3 switch hitters, though Victrion is batting exclusively right handed for the time being.

Leadoff single and Rienzo 2nd walk of the game to start the 2nd for Red Sox.

Drew flys out to RF on 3-1 pitch .Carp tags up advances to 3rd. 1st and 3rd 1 out.

Salty steals 2nd ( no one was covering 2nd) without a play taking White Sox out of possible double play grounder. Bogaerts K's on pitch out of the zone.

Ellsbury singles on 1 -2 pitch . DeAza throws home ( dumb) and Ellsbury takes 2nd.

The Red Sox hitters really are schooling the White Sox pitchers in this series.

Rienzo gets two strikes on Ellsbury and then gives up the two strike wo out hit that brings in two runs. Too bad. These young guys just don't seem to be able to put the guy away when they need to
