January 26, 201412 yr Author QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 25, 2014 -> 07:36 PM) He and McGary both made really stupid decisions going back to school. Wish GR3 went. He'd make an average D leaguer.
January 26, 201412 yr Author Cloudy with a chance of excuses in Lansing tonight. Derrick Walton, wow.
January 26, 201412 yr Author QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 25, 2014 -> 08:33 PM) No Payne, no Dawson,no McGary. Eh. Like an exhibition. No Payne, No McGary. Dawson hurt cuz he's an idiot and guys like Ellis who don't play as much made up for him on offense.
January 26, 201412 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 25, 2014 -> 08:39 PM) No Payne, No McGary. Dawson hurt cuz he's an idiot and guys like Ellis who don't play as much made up for him on offense. Maybe I'm in the minority for Michigan fans, but I think they play better without McGary. Obviously I'd rather have McGary than not, but this team in my opinion plays much better with only 1 post, 3 wings, and 1 point. Having McGary play Morgan/Horford made things awkward and slow. Granted McGary was just coming back from an injury, but never the less I prefer the style Michigan is playing and it's working currently. Edited January 26, 201412 yr by WilliamTell
January 26, 201412 yr QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 25, 2014 -> 07:36 PM) He and McGary both made really stupid decisions going back to school. And you're probably right from a financial standpoint. I've read stories about people saying the same thing and I'm guilty of it too on certain players. But it's a strange world we live in when we're slamming guys for actually wanting to stay in college.
January 26, 201412 yr QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 25, 2014 -> 07:36 PM) He and McGary both made really stupid decisions going back to school. After the ups and downs Mitch has been through ever since HS, (the kid pretty much failed out of his first HS) I couldn't believe he turned down what probably would have been a mid first round draft pick to go back.
January 26, 201412 yr I love this team. GRIII probably made the wrong choice going back to school as his stock has done nothing but drop and probably will continue to do so, especially if Walton plays like he did tonight for the rest of the year. That said, Michigan would be in big trouble without GRIII, imagine this team with Donnal playing the 4. Edited January 26, 201412 yr by TomPickle

A possible first round pick who had a huge hand in them getting to the final game last year? Seems pretty good.
January 26, 201412 yr McGary is the most overrated cbb player since Tyrus Thomas. A hilarious testament to how some people only remember March because he was not good at all before then. And then this idiot cost himself a boat load of cash by not cashing in Tyrus style. Edited January 26, 201412 yr by Buehrle>Wood

Wait, I thought that was Aaron craft.
January 26, 201412 yr Author QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 26, 2014 -> 03:37 AM) Wait, I thought that was Aaron craft. It is. Mitch has just been hurt. He wasn't very good the little he played this year but hadn't practiced and played much. I don't think his game transfers to the nba at all. Not a post up player or any kind of shooter. Everything has to be going to the hoop.

The injuries have just demolished Mitch, and that is going all of the way back to his HS days.
January 26, 201412 yr Can't see McGary ever being a first rounder... One, he's extremely old for a sophomore, he's older than Zeller. Two, the NBA probably won't let him take a ton of Adderall before each game.
January 26, 201412 yr This would be a 10 point game if Crean would just leave the guys that are contributing in..
January 26, 201412 yr Terrible last possession. Not a surprise. Entertaining game but not great basketball on either side.
January 26, 201412 yr QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 26, 2014 -> 02:53 PM) Terrible last possession. Not a surprise. Entertaining game but not great basketball on either side. Yeah. Not overly sloppy (at least compared to some IU games), but not real crisp either. It's entertaining but also meh at the same time. Can't put my finger on it.
January 26, 201412 yr Bertrand hacked 4 times on the first or second play of the half near the paint. No call. Tate barely touches Ferrell on the perimeter. Call.

January 26, 201412 yr QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jan 26, 2014 -> 03:23 PM) lol... #Illinifans Yeah, that's absolutely a complaint about the officiating. It has nothing to do with home/road, that's just failure to call the new rule consistently.
