The thing to consider with Beckham is if Semien could put up a similar OPS at 2nd base for a significantly cheaper amount. Beckham is now hitting .209 since the ASB.

RV has to go nobody wants him back.

Anyone notice Leury Garcia not start running to first on an lazy pop up? Good to see the veterans and their piss-poor effort has reached the young guys.

So, to summarize...

1) Danks still is pitching more like a 4th/5th starter

2) Viciedo's been a lot better the last month

3) A. Garcia is not a CFer

4) L. Garcia is not an everyday player but he's at least exciting/interesting

5) 3rd pick is pretty much guaranteed

The security guard doesnt have a face.

I read that as DeWayne Wise and it was funnier.

Anybody still watching? Don't know why am. I think attendance has hit 0.

LOL. I read that the same way. My eyes read DeWayne Wise too. I would never known it was Wade w/out your post.

We can't blame it on The Alex Rios Effect anymore.

Where Jake Peavy when you need him to motivate the troops...?

That really sucks if that's true. L. Garcia should be busting ass. Everytime I've seen Phegs run, he busts ass. I like that about Phegley.

Really that tells a fan all they need to know about RV! It has been a country club last 2 years and nobody is held accountable for anything no wonder Konerko wants to stay.

Who knows, maybe Leury thought it was going to be foul (even though it was caught in fair territory). Everything we've seen before that from Leury was pure hustle.

Like Agent Kruger from Elysium?

Now that we blew it not taking Francona, I don't know who I'd want to replace Robin. You may all get mad, but assuming Ozzie and LaRussa are out of the question, I'd take Piniella No. 1; Gene Lamont No. 2 just for old time's sake.

Seriously, if I were Jerry, I'd beg LaRussa to end his career on the South Side. Maybe do something creative and have a manager in waiting to help LaRussa and have him cut his hours down. The manager in waiting could do the computer printouts, etc., and just have them waiting for Tony when he arrives at 4 p.m. for a 7:10 p.m. game instead of noon.

LARUSSA is our savior, folks.

Orioles just bit it.

Time for Soxtalk to be on Dave Martinez wagon again.

At least we get to watch A. Garcia bat this inning.

Good point, but I don't want him. It's time for a mean bastard like Piniella or LaRussa.

Dpes this ump want to stick around or something

Sweet Lou is done he is not going to come back.

Ventura will be back, won't renew after 2014, and never interview for a managerial job again.

Don't know why some of our guys like A. Garcia just don't try to make contact with two strikes. I know it doesn't matter down 14-2, but he was swinging for the fences there and whiffed.

It seems like every time Avi swings hard, he can't make contact. They're gonna have to fix that somehow.

Ha, their 20th string outfielder is better defensively than any of the outfielders on the Sox roster.

1. Francona said he was taking a year off.

2. I really doubt Lou or Larussa come out of retirement, if Tony wanted to keep coaching he'd still be in St Louis.

3. Lamont, meh. I'd rather have a coach who will be around for more than just a few years.

4. Guys I'd be interested in are Sandy Alomar, Dave Martinez, and for whatever reason, Eduardo Perez.

That's just bad offensive baseball that half inning. Geez now I know why I've watched so few games the last 3 weeks.

Money talks, though. It would have been nice to get Francona in the organization. I bet if you pumped drinks into him he'd admit he could have this Sox team playing as well as the Indians 5-10 over .500.

And Viciedo drops a fly ball. I'm going to be surprised if he's on the roster next year.
