July 17, 201411 yr If they held Heath out because the White Sox might need him last week, this is beyond strange. Axelrod in Cincinatti would be amusing, if it ever happens.
July 17, 201411 yr Author QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 01:56 PM) I can't wait to hear what the incredible return is. A bag of balls. But really I think it was Wang.
July 17, 201411 yr QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 02:00 PM) Who is driving Axe to the airport? I vote Tmar. Edited July 17, 201411 yr by Rowand44
July 17, 201411 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 02:00 PM) I vote Tmar. He's too busy with taking care of Wang.
July 17, 201411 yr Good luck to Axelrod. I liked him, it wasn't his fault the Sox had to pick up a guy off the street to start. He did what he could and probably overachieved. Maybe the NL will treat him better.

He actually did pretty well for a while, but every knew it was just a matter of time before he basically became batting practice for the opposition.
July 17, 201411 yr Im just glad to know that I dont have to dread his call up anymore. Heath was a friggin organizational pinball
July 17, 201411 yr QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 02:15 PM) When will he go work for uncle Barry? Barry is his dad.
July 17, 201411 yr Axelrod has a massive scrotum and balls so big they barely fit in there. Dylan overachieved for a long time here, more than most players ever do. If he had half the talent of some or these other guys he'd have made some good money by now. Good luck to Dylan & hopefully he gets a shot. He does IMO definitely have a chance at a LR role somewhere. If Carlos Torres can do it, and Scott Carroll can do it, etc. then so can he.
July 17, 201411 yr Also "BattleAxe" was the only nickname ever coined by RObin Ventura that 1) took some thought, and 2) made any sense. BattleAxe is the perfect name for this guy. Good luck to him. Definitely was one of my favorite little talent type of players. Lots of heart and balls, the mentality of a pitcher, just the stuff of a non-prospect kept him from achieving more.
July 17, 201411 yr QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 03:23 PM) Axelrod has a massive scrotum and balls so big they barely fit in there. Good luck to Dylan & hopefully he gets a shot. He does IMO definitely have a chance at a LR role somewhere. If Carlos Torres can do it, and Scott Carroll can do it, etc. then so can he. Carlos Torres averages 91 MPH with his fastball. Scott Carroll is at 89.6 Dylan Axelrod is at 88.3 Maybe, but I have strong doubts.
