July 31, 201411 yr Real nice to take 2 of 3. Now they get 6 games against 2 of the worst teams in baseball. Edited July 31, 201411 yr by scs787

July 31, 201411 yr QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 04:23 PM) Hi there. Minnesota Twins Texas Rangers Both at home. Fair enough, but it's not like the Sox are good enough to consider wins over anyone a given.

July 31, 201411 yr Go ahead with your bad self and Price, Detroit. See if you win a WS. I'll be rooting against you.
July 31, 201411 yr QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 04:40 PM) Awesome. Wild card ahoy. I know you're just being a clown, but I really think the better the Sox finish, the more attractive they are to FAs.
July 31, 201411 yr QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 04:52 PM) I know you're just being a clown, but I really think the better the Sox finish, the more attractive they are to FAs. Detroit is quietly down to 72% odds to make the playoffs on ESPN, that's not very good for a team that has been all in since the offseason and was well above 90% for most of the year coming into July. It's too bad the Sox aren't just a little better they could really put the pressure on them to win the division if they were 5 over instead of 3 under they would be right there.

And we've had so many good results from our core players. Even with the pitching being up and down this year you'd have to think if we'd had just one more positive result this year from a Beckham or Tank or perhaps if Avi stayed healthy we'd be right there in the mix. It's too bad because I really do think this team is very close to contending for at least a WC spot and in a couple more seasons with the right moves and some luck Hahn can have a contender on his hands. July 31, 201411 yr Awesome game to be at. Was crazy when Jackson came off the field for Detroit. Abreu is just f***ing tremendous and a pleasure to watch.
August 1, 201411 yr There was a game today? Who schedules baseball during the best trade deadline in sports?
August 1, 201411 yr QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 10:13 PM) Real nice to take 2 of 3. Now they get 6 games against 2 of the worst teams in baseball. Great win today no doubt. But it doesn't matter who we are playing. We all know that. Would be nice to win both series. QUOTE (DashFan @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 11:50 PM) And we've had so many good results from our core players. I know what you mean. Some White Sox are having incredible years, simply incredible, yet the team is still under .500 and frankly doesn't figure to leap above .500. If the crap Royals could somehow win 10 in a row, why not the Sox? The Sox are one 8-10 game win streak from WC contention. Abreu and Eaton are amazing baseball talents. I like 'em both.
