At the ASB, I would have said I have no problem with him being a back end starter next year. If he puts up a 5 ERA this year, I would be worried about him being a huge liability going forward.

It is crazy he has only hit 4 home runs in his last 25 games or so. He is way overdue for one

He was fine the first half of the year.

Danks mechanics haven't been right for a while now. He can't keep the ball down, and doesn't have enough stuff to pitch up anymore. He has to finish on his pitches better than he is now.

The biggest issue his entire career has been lack of consistency in his mechanics.

Bigger problem imo It's a loose shoulder joint. Just can't throw the ball like he used to.

Last couple of games, he's been fouling off some meatballs that he had been hitting over the fence before the ASB. Thankfully, he's stopped chasing the slider low and away for the most part.
