I don't get whatever infatuation there is for Victorino. There is no reason to believe he will hit even .260ish with no power. Let's face it, de Aza is probably better.

I woudlnt' call trading Danks for someone an "Infatuation".

1) Victorino's 2013 season, where he was a key cog in Red Sox World Series victory

2) Veteran leader with tons of playoff experience...well respected like LaRoche

3) Checks all the Rowand/Erstad/Eaton qualities of gritty, heady and "baseball rat/dirtbag"...the OF version of Daryl from The Walking Dead

4) Would have to prove his health in one last drive for a final contract...motivated/incentivized

5) Would improve the defense (if healthy)

6) One way to get Danks' deal off the payroll, especially for 2016...payroll flexibility going forward

like several posters said, a win / win trade.

You sir are on a roll! Love the Daryl reference.

All great points. I'll gladly trade two years of Danks for one year of Victorino.
