June 18, 201510 yr Thompson with his 8th HR. Wish his BB rate didn't drop in half this year. Anderson with two doubles tonight. Need him to keep getting those XBH.
June 18, 201510 yr It would be nice to see a team take on Melky in July, move Avi to LF, and have two months of Garcia-Eaton-Thompson. Let's see what he has. Edited June 18, 201510 yr by flavum
June 18, 201510 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 06:14 AM) It would be nice to see a team take on Melky in July, move Avi to LF, and have two months of Garcia-Eaton-Thompson. Let's see what he has. And/or LaRoche and going with DH rotation with 4 OF starting OF or moving Davidson to third with Gillespie getting at bats at first and third. I know Davidson is struggling but at this point why the hell not? Could put a spark in him.
June 18, 201510 yr QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 04:22 AM) The Mark Teahen trade that keeps on giving. You mean Jason Frasor if you are referring to Myles Jaye. Though we did acquire Frasor with Teahen so I guess the logic follows.
June 18, 201510 yr In 2011, Williams had one of the best deadline assets in baseball to trade, and 4 years later that's turned into into a somewhat promising AA pitcher and a back of the bullpen arm. Magic. Edited June 18, 201510 yr by GreenSox
June 18, 201510 yr Mychal Thompson was on Mike and Mike this morning. He gave Trayce a shout-out for his two homers last night. Sounds like he was in the park. What a 24 hours.
June 18, 201510 yr QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 09:58 AM) In 2011, Williams had one of the best deadline assets in baseball to trade, and 4 years later that's turned into into a somewhat promising AA pitcher and a back of the bullpen arm. Magic. Jaye? I caught him in person last season and was far more impressed by Beck. Thought he might have a shot as another of our starter-to-bullpen guys. Don't forget we also got rid of Teahen's contract and saved $10million on that deal, so it also turned into $10 million.
June 18, 201510 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 11:33 AM) Jaye? I caught him in person last season and was far more impressed by Beck. Thought he might have a shot as another of our starter-to-bullpen guys. Don't forget we also got rid of Teahen's contract and saved $10million on that deal, so it also turned into $10 million. And received Zach Stewart who would eventually help us get Youk. Sucks we wasted value on dumping Teahen, but getting Webb & Jaye for Frasor down the road was excellent. If anyone is b****ing about that particular trade they are clueless.
