All three of these people should never see the field again this year...

Good chance 2/3 won't.

We have quite a few other guys here who also should never see the field again.

Keep playing them...move up in the draft.

Harkness, not trying to be rude, but is this thread worthy to you?

Mike Olt should have never seen the field... I get what they were thinking but I never agreed with not playing Saladino...

I've never understood why they keep running Webb out there.. his arm is okay but not that great for how bad his control is.

Shark... he just as lost it and should just sit this out the rest of the year.

All different situations... but all three are people that should be done playing with the White Sox.

I'm with raBBit on this. I agree with your analysis but there are already threads on Samardzija and Olt. I guess you could've started one on Webb.

You are correct. I'd release Olt now lest they are tempted to bring him to spring training. Might as well ask Shark if he wants to keep starting or not. He did agree to come to the Sox for a year and not block the trade, so we owe him that since the games are meaningless and it's kind of funny to see his ERA keep going up.

These are players you have to make decisions on in the next 1 to 6 months. Of course you should be playing them. You would be robbing yourself of analytic chances if you didn't. These are the types of players (well except for Samardjiza) that see the field when you have a disappointing season.

How about complain about them in the gamethread, since this was posted during the game?

Olt absolutely should play third every day....so that Saladino can play short every day.

Well first, the game thread is closed.

Second, my post wasn't really complaining about them, it was agreeing with a previous poster.

Olt has not impressed and I think his hits with the Sox have all been singles. Defense has not been good. Webb is anyone's guess for 2016 and I will bet you the Sox still try and sign the Shark at a figure obviously below what he might have been looking at earlier in the season.

I would ask why??? There were "rumors that Shark and Cooper do not get a long. If true, it might very well explain how Shark went from decent to horrible. If that is the reason, why would you bring him back since that would be a cancer in the clubhouse, especially w young pitchers.

You hit the nail on the head! That's one of Shark's excuses that will still land him 18-25 mill a year for 5 years from somebody. His agent will say he and the pitching coach hated each other, also that he's a better NL pitcher. Also he only used a couple pitches to stretch his arm out once the season was over. He had a couple great starts that he can tell teams to look at on film.

As far as cancer in clubhouse, sorry to say the Sox are past that point of worrying about that. After a couple years of being an irrelevant, lousy team, our clubhouse is that of a loser. That really can't be changed until the team somehow starts winning and winning big again. Sox truly are a mess right now. Irrelevant losing franchise. Polar opposite of 2005. Top to bottom franchise in 10 years.

a. there is no rumors or innuendo of shark being a cancer.

b. the fact that if he accept the offer, then he is out to prove that 2015 was a bad yr. he will be out to redeem himself. the sox will reap that success.

c. if he does redeem himself, their will be a possibility of a trade later.

d. there is still a hole in the lineup as is.

e. trade him before the season starts if a team will gamble on him.

I have heard nothing but rumor on Cooper and Smard not getting along. It is true this could be just bad year, but I will say that some baseball analysts said they didn;' think the Shark was as good as advertised. Saying that the Sox must have or they wouldn't have pulled theta 4 players to Oakland trade. A qualifying offer at the least and a contract at best from the Sox will occur in my opinion

looks like this thread did go somewhere...

I'm saying no more Olt... I've seen enough. I'd rather see what Saladino can do.

Have also seen enough of Webb... bring someone else in. Webb has proven over and over he has no control. His ERA this year being low was a façade... opponents batting averages remained very high against him.

Shark just has lost it and it's only getting worse... He needs to just take a break (and hopefully go away to another team).
