If you don't really watch baseball and you have any relation with the city of Chicago at all you are definitely one of those members. That makes up a huge portion of their fans I would bet.

A lot of their fans just want an excuse to drink. Heck, the main story last night on every news channel was how Wrigleyville bars were preparing for huge crowds.

I feel as if the fans in NY actually like baseball a lot. Plus the Yankees are there and they're usually good, so they get more hardcore fans.

 

The Dodgers are usually good too, as are the Angels, so the fans in LA actually have a reason to follow the sport.

 

The Cubs are usually bad and people around Chicago say they're Cubs fans but in reality, they probably watch one or two games a year on a regular basis.

In terms of optimism for the Cardinals today, this feels like when we had to root for a Sox win against Johan in his prime.

The Cardinals have to get Arrieta's pitch count up early. It's their only chance to win.

Really don't understand Holliday playing so much. He looks like he's 50 years old at the plate.
