Cubs-Cards NLDS

Featured Replies

The Cubs could very well end up being the highest bidder, but I think his comments and the Maddon connection are overblown in terms of importance. 99% of the time athletes go to the highest bidder, I don't see why Price would be any different.

Because Cubs

Kurkijan said this morning on Mike and Mike that the Red Sox might have the best chance, followed by Cubs/Dodgers to get Price.

Tough break for #Cardinals...Molina scratched from Game 4 with left thumb injury. #NLDS

The cards picked the worst possible time to break down.

They are lucky Piscotty is able to play so quickly after having his head nearly taken off a week ago

Let's just hope hammel takes a dump and the cards can score some runs.

Arrieta is going to get paid this year and it will be an unexpectedly big hit to them. His agent is Boras and his free agency is still a few years off.

Yeah, but there isn't a salary cap. They are in a completely different world. They have so many rookies making very little money.

Yes but it could still be an unexpectedly large hit. He could ask for about $20M in arbitration.

They've been breaking down all season.

Wainwright, Martinez, Walden, Grichuk, Molina, Holliday, Adams

I'm not in Chicago, so tell me what it's like. Is it total Cub fever? Or are Sox fans helping keep down the craziness? Last night's game had all those home runs and chicks love the long ball, so what is it? Cub mania or just normal playoff atmosphere? Anything sickening?

Sickening part is the crap i have to hear from cubs fans on a daily basis about how its a lock they will win the world series.

Very sad. And once you get the little kids into Bryant, and all those other young guys et. all, you are building total Cub mania for the future. Sox have their work cut out. The good news is competition is "good" and the Sox are gonna have to do something this offseason. Think of how the Cubs will sell every possible advance ticket for next season. Sox must react and will. Jerry's gonna have to spend more than he ever has on this team.

It's clearly going to be awful living in Chicago for a while if they end up winning. Just have to hope they don't win it all and ends up shutting up the bandwagoners....until next season starts up :)

Yes, that probably would not have happened if he played for another team.

Almost time. Come on cards pull this one out of your ass and give yourself a chance at home.

Good start.

Yay!

Nice start cardinals!

Hammel is absolute trash.
