October 12, 201510 yr Another great mind going to the Braves. He's putting up his 16, 17, and 18 draft rankings tomorrow. Good luck to him.
October 13, 201510 yr Congrats to him, must be a crazy feeling to cover something and then go into affect it.
October 13, 201510 yr Ugh, son of a b****. First Jason Parks, now Kiley McDaniel....now whose podcast am I going to listen to learn about prospects? His comprehensive list was so incredible, it's going to suck for Fangraphs to replace that kind of work he put in. I'm sure they won't.
October 13, 201510 yr QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 07:25 PM) Congrats to him, must be a crazy feeling to cover something and then go into affect it. To be fair, he had worked for teams in the past. I always got the impression that the writing was something to do until the next team came along. Not to say it wasn't high quality--it was really good and I enjoyed it a lot.

October 13, 201510 yr The good always die young. Congrats to Kiley on joining a team with an extremely bright future. I wouldn't be shocked if he is a fast riser.
October 13, 201510 yr Blech we can't keep these guys long enough. Who's next to inherit the "best pub scout writer" crown?

Probably because of his name I always thought he was like 25.
October 15, 201510 yr QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 02:08 PM) Probably because of his name I always thought he was like 25. How old is he? He definitely talks like someone in his 20s. I assumed he was like 28 or 29.
October 16, 201510 yr http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/an-announce...spect-coverage/ Dan Farnsworth will be his replacement at Fangraphs. He wrote an excellent breakdown of Jose Abreu after the signing that I cited to all my friends as evidence that Abreu would hit like a stud.
October 16, 201510 yr Related... a bunch of previous Baseball Prospectus guys, including one of the former co-founders (Joe Hamrahi) are starting a new prospect-focused baseball site called 2080Baseball.com. Also seems to include CJ Witt (former BP), Nick Faleris (former BP), Tucker Blair (former BP), Jeff Moore (former BP) and Mike Ferrin (XM Radio). And they threw some subtle shade at BP along the way.

Clever domain name, but it looks weird.
October 19, 201510 yr QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Oct 16, 2015 -> 05:00 PM) Clever domain name, but it looks weird. It's an "under construction" site with nothing on it but the logo. How does it "look weird?"
October 22, 201510 yr QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ Oct 19, 2015 -> 12:43 PM) It's an "under construction" site with nothing on it but the logo. How does it "look weird?" I was still referring to the domain name. I find domains with numbers in them, especially at the beginning, look fake or sketchy.
