Was the townhall televised last night?

Also - did anyone watch the black panthers doc this week? I really thought black power mixtape doc was pretty weak, this doc was much better.

Dem town hall was on msnbc. Rep was on cnn. They were both pretty dull as I flipped back and forth.

I have never seen less twitter babble from a town hall.

The only interesting thing I saw was on GOP Town Hall where an audience member told Kasich that Obamacare was a God send to him because he was in a wheel chair and need insurance after moving. Kasich then rambled for 5 minutes after being asked what his plan would be to replace it.

Hillary Clinton wins Nevada. She has now won 2 of the first 3 contests and is currently polling with a strong lead in South Carolina led by strength among African American voters - setting up potential wins in 3 of the first 4.

Barring a major new finding with the e-mail scandal, it's back to normal again in the Democratic Party. Would have been a real test of her campaign staff if she managed to lose Nevada but more pragmatic voters won out in the end. She's also going to figure out why she's not doing very well with Hispanics going forward.

Who wins between Trump and Rubio is basically the only compelling media storyline left to play out before the conventions.

True, dat. It just doesn't seem like the public cares about the email thing. I keep hearing pundits say anybody else would be in jail by now over the email breaches of security, but she's leading a charmed life. The Republicans' only hope is if the FBI gets very aggressive and pissed off and demands accountability from Hillary as in formal charges being filed.

Greg, would it surprise you at all that Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell did the exact same thing?

By and large, most people think it's a partisan witch hunt...whereas with Benghazi, there's more legit criticism based on how the State Department mishandled that situation.

Haha no, benghazi has been a four year long partisan witch hunt.

Let's just say there is some blame to spread around and also a series of contradictory statements about what it was and wasn't (cya)...that said, it's not a disqualifier. It's also much more subtle and nuanced than the Michael Bay movie would have you believe, obviously.

Of course, the Clintons have turned every event into right wing conspiracy/partisan witch hunt for 32 years now. I guess you can't fault them completely, because it has been effective to a large extent. Even arguing recently Citizens United was targeted at stopping them, although that's more dubious.

If people actually cared about "addressing Embassy security" or "why the h*ll did we start bombing Libya anyway" they'd have legitimate questions to ask for Hillary.

OTOH, when the leading contenders for the opposite party believe we should be "Carpet bombing" without knowing what that is and believe we should dip the bullets we use in pig's blood to offend their religion even more...well "maybe we shouldn't bomb every country" isn't a question that's going to be asked. Similarly, "maybe if we're going to put embassy like facilities in war zones maybe the CIA shouldn't establish bases there unless they're secured" or "maybe those budget cuts to embassy security weren't the best thing" won't be asked, because that would imply Congress had a role in it.

Interestingly, it's not a question Sanders is really able to focus on either. He can hit on "well your Iraq vote was wrong" but he's not interested enough in foreign policy to turn that into a critique of the establishment as he can with wall street.

No. Let's just say that there were some important but fairly mundane questions regarding embassy security policy that 99.999% of the time would not be a national discussion but that everything else related to it has been a political witch hunt since the Romney campaign issued that first dumb press release hours after it happened.

They're all terrifying in their own ways. Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Hillary, Bernie. The least terrifying is Kasich but I'm not really thrilled with him either.

The Ohio Department of Health has at least 150 other sub-grantees and contractors for the affected grants and projects addressing such issues as new born babies, infant mortality, expectant mothers, violence against women, and minority HIV/AIDS," the statement said. "ODH will reallocate funding from ineligible providers under the new law to other currently eligible providers, ranging from local health departments and community organizations to hospitals and universities.

Isn't it time we stop pretending that Planned Parenthood is the only organization in the country that provides health services to women?

Get the f*** out of here with your facts...this is a political forum, we run on words like "rhetoric" and "divisive".

I don't know who's pretending that PP is the only provider. They're often a major provider though, and the press release from Kasich's campaign is a bunch of obfuscating bulls***.

Any bulls*** from Kasich is miniscule compared to the constant bulls*** spewed by PP.

Going to assume youve never been to planned parenthood.

Personally, no, but I have two female friends who have, got told they were pregnant (when they weren't) and told they needed to have an abortion ASAP before anybody found out they were pregnant because that would ruin their lives.

I definitely believe that that actually happened. Twice.
