These leaked emails from the Democratic party are mindlessly entertaining. You got them sending interns disguised as protestors to Trump events, media outlets with writers filing stories to the DNC ahead of their own editors, placing fake job ads for The Trump Organization looking for hot women, and on and on and on.

But what happened to Bernie Sanders is disgusting. He never had a chance vs a rigged system, and these emails prove the collusion the DNC had with the Clinton campaign. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is an evil human.

Wouldn't they have also revealed rigged votes, which were commonly thrown around?

Here's a decent aggregate of stuff: https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/...eak_megathread/

The first day of releases was 20k emails and 8k attachments. You can search on wikileaks for yourself, that's probably the best way. If nothing else, it's a entertaining read. A lot of the tone of a teenage girls writing them; it's like Veep come to real life.

We shall see! Julian Assange has promised releases every day this week in honor of the convention going on. I doubt he'd start with the best stuff, but I also doubt if they were rigging elections that they were dumb enough to do it over email.

For the party painting Donald Trump as a racist, the Democrats sure have some Jewish skeletons in their closet now. Hypocrites. Fall into line, or we will even attack on an anti-semite basis.

I don't think you even read the story.

The email in question wasn't anti-semetic at all. The writer proposed that they question if he was religious at all because some voters in upcoming primaries of religious states would sour on an atheist.

Most Jews vote Democrat. They're not going to attack Bernie for being Jewish. That's ridiculous.

It's a scummy email from an anti-atheist perspective if anything.

As a non-religious Jew, it ain't wrong.

We don't sit well with people, a lot in the South.

A political party taking advantage of racism is exactly what put Donald Trump on the ballot. This would be the DNC utilizing the Trump playbook.

There's no racism involved in this story. You're really struggling to Both Sides this.

Even if you want to read that as trying to frame him as an atheist, which I don't get from the Jesus comments later on, they are taking a page straight from the Donald Trump playbook of playing off of differences and trying to use that against anyone who is different. They are quite literally on record trying to get him on record as saying he isn't a Christian, and that he is either Jewish or Atheist. Why else would they need to do that? The party of inclusion for the win.

The email has nothing to do with him not being a Chritian, so I don't know how that's "literally" there. It's explicitly about him being Jewish or an atheist as being an atheist would cause him to lose some Christian voters.

This email is mildly offensive to atheists (though we are well aware that we're political poison and they never actually did the plan), but not even remotely comparable to demonizing certain groups like Trump does, nor does it have anything to do with race as you initially claimed.

So they want to get this out in the public eye for why again?

The email says why and I said it twice. Some Christian voters wouldn't vote for Bernie if he were an atheist.

I'd still like to know how you parsed anti-Semitism or racism out of any of this.

lol, so trying to throw red meat to take advantage of perceived racism, isn't racism.

Am I missing something? Did atheism become a race?

lol, OK, stereotyping entire groups of people for political gain is more technically correct, but apparently OK now because the Dems are doing it.

You keep changing your argument and you still haven't stumbled on a good one. Who is being stereotyped here? What's the stereotype?

Where did you get the impression it was okay? I said this email was scummy. It's s***ty that many Christians don't like atheists and it's s***ty that political people would consider taking advantage of that fact.

But why you think that is similar to demonizing snd scapegoating groups with made up stories and statistics to make people hate them is beyond me.

The closest parallel to Trump this could possibly have would be when Trump kept suggesting Obama might be a Muslim, except he actually did that repeatedly and did so completely disingenuously while these people just considered this lame tactic and actually think Bernie is an atheist (which is probably true too).

Me and none of my Jewish or Atheist friends are too mad about this.

It's just a statement of fact. We don't do well with older Christians.

So its better that the DNC did it secretly in emails behind the scenes. I see.

You seem to have avoided all the main points of my post.

So the DNC called their hispanic outreach the "Taco Bowl Engagement."

The ones where you justified everything that was said and done? Yeah, mostly I rolled my eyes at your making excuses for the DNC and moved on.

This is a pretty weak flail

Had an interesting conversation with cousin in Dallas today.

Says the most logical way to get Mexico to help pay for the border wall would be to tax the remittances through Western Union, Pay Pal, Xoom back to their home country at 25-33%.

This would push some illegal immigrants back to Mexico and/or open up more job opportunities for American unemployed workers....creating an eventual higher salary for American workers over time because of lower demand from illegal immigrants for those jobs.
