It seems like Sale is pitching to contact a lot more this spring.

Austin Jackson seems to do a pretty good job on inside fastballs. He just got busted in on the hands and hit a line drive to 3B.

I remember that. He shouldn't have been out there. It was like 8th inning, he loaded the bases, was over 120 pitches I believe.

I was so angry at that game that I specifically remember throwing the TV remote across the room lol.

 

I don't remember if that game was in '13 or '14, but the bullpen options must've been terrible if Robin kept Sale out there at that point to face the best hitter in the game.

It was what a 4-0 game? I would have let him start that 8th inning at the very least and then pulled him if he let a guy on. I said it at the time and I still say it lol

No you're right, it did tie it, but it was 5-1 at the time.

Sale just struck out Trout on the same pitch he hit that grand slam on. Change up low and off of the plate away.

Hated that game

Was at that game. Told my friends before Trout came to the box... "Take sale out." After the first pitch, "ready to see a grand slam?"

 

It was a great game to be at - even as a Sox fan.

I hated that game at the time but watching the gif of Sale angrily going into the clubhouse with the bat and swinging away always makes me smile now.

Just when I thought that MLB.TV had gotten its act together, the sound is cutting in and out.

 

Lawrie's eyeblack reminds me of the wwf legion of doom. It's cool if he mashes- not so cool if he sucks. Like the outfield song.

Nice piece of hitting by Jackson to drive that two out run home, and even better base running hustle to turn it into a double on Trout.

Ajax seems to hit just a ton of line drives.

Yunel Escobar has 0 interest in breaking a sweat right now. Jogged out a double on a ball that rattled in the corner, and didn't even attempt to score from 2nd on a single.
