GAME THREAD 4/17: SOX @ TB

Lawrie was a good pickup. Sox would be better with him at 3rd and Sanchez/Micah at 2nd.

I wouldn't give up on Todd just yet...I could see Sanchez helping this team out at 2nd and maybe Lawrie DH? Or Lawrie play 3rd, Frazier 1st and Abreu DH with the outfield being Jackson, Cabrera and Eaton. Trade Avi for something. Anything. I was a big believer in him getting better, but the way he is playing I don't see anything getting better.

They should be scoring runs off Moore. The Sox are getting themselves out chasing his s*** pitches.

They need a really good offensive game to snap out of their funk. I thought they were close Friday. Hitting balls hard but not finding holes.

couple hard hit balls but nothing

Seems to be a lot of that lately

Someone said it best yesterday, Sox are tremendous at getting themselves out without a pitcher even having to throw strikes. You'd honestly wonder at times if they'd be better not lifting the bat off their shoulders

That's big there. Allows Q another inning

2 quick innings for Q

AJax had the best AB with that RBI single. He was like f*** this clown, I'm going to right.

It just seems like the SOX hitters are clueless at the plate and just hacking. That's just not doable for a MLB game!

At least Adam is playing hard and not messed up from the LaRoche ordeal like I thought he might have been

It is interesting that the 2 players most fired up about that have both been stellar.

They just have no approach at the plate

The only player in the lineup with above average plate discipline I'd say is Eaton.

To be fair those two guys are some of the best in the league at their positions. Chris Sale being a great pitcher is a shock to nobody.

He has swung at everything since he returned

Matt Moore isn't exactly a bad pitcher.

Ok Jose crush one

another hard hit ball

Woof

Also pitches well against the Sox

So what do we like better, Dunn V 3.0 or LaDunnzier?

Just one of those series... Better not bring this s*** back home

League has caught up to JA it seems this is just awful AB's.

Frazier is trying to drive in 5 runs every AB.

Frazier has looked worse and worse every AB

Today his stuff is extremely hittable. He's not terrible but he's not someone the Sox should be having a hard time with in theory.

People were saying the same thing last season when after 9 games he was hitting .206.
