June 13, 20169 yr QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 12:09 PM) 32 and a 3B. Don't really see a fit here to be honest. Only as a potential DH really.
June 13, 20169 yr 5 years ago, he would have been an awesome acquisition. Now, it's too late. Which of course means the White Sox will attempt to add him as well to their collection of players past their "sell by" date. And actually, he still will be a credible hitter for the next 2-3 years, compared to the likes of JB Suck and Avifail Garcia. But we just signed Justin Morneau to be a hero, so they won't make a bid out of respect to Morneau. Edited June 13, 20169 yr by caulfield12

June 13, 20169 yr If the White Sox are going to be a ridiculous organization, why take them seriously any longer? What's the point of writing out well thought out, measured comments imbued with pragmatism when the front office is acting in completely the opposite manner? I love the Cuban players and the way they play the game. I defended Viciedo for a long time here. Wanted the Sox to bring in Puig, and still do. Heck, it wouldn't be a complete shocker if they did sign Gurriel and try to figure out a way to jam him into the line-up even though the positional fit with Frazier at 3B and the same age isn't a good one. June 14, 20169 yr He was a stud in his early 20s. A damn shame the world couldn't see what he could of done. His swing/style reminded me so much of a young ARod.
